Kris + Calvin
A moody engagement shoot in the Lake District, with romance, atmosphere and adventure.
Ahead of their September wedding, Kris + Calvin got in touch to organise their pre wedding shoot. They wanted to make the most of it, and utilise one of my favourite ever spots in the Lake District, a secluded tarn, surrounded by mountains and trees. a truly unspoilt gem, and no I won't tell you where. I have always included pre wedding shoots in all of my full day wedding packages, I love that they give couples a chance to get in front of the camera, and get a taste of what the photo taking process is like. Having your photo taken is such an alien experience for most people, and I truly feel that having a bit of a practice run, meeting each other properly, and seeing how beautiful you both look in photos, is the absolute best preparation for your wedding day.
K+C decided to really make an adventure out of theirs, heading to the Lake district for a bridal style photoshoot. They wanted my signature moody style, with lots of atmosphere and intimacy, so we crafted a super moody and intense session that reflected them both, and the dramatic landscape. The Lake District is always a favourite for me for engagement photo shoots, the mountains and lakes are just so epic, and are the perfect backdrop to create the mood and romance between you both, it really evokes emotion and it just gives such a dramatic atmosphere. I love that these two really embraced the pre shoot and made the most of it, these are definitely some of my favourite images this year.
