Fern
February saw my first ever visit, to a beautiful venue on every wedding photographer's hit list - the luxurious Garthmyl Hall on the Shropshire and Welsh border. Garthmyl is an incredible manor house, with impeccable grounds and plenty of boutique spaces for your guests to stay. It's not at all stuffy, and has plenty of personality injected into it by the owner, Julia, who has stayed true to it's history, but also updated it in a super chic and modern way, perfect for all style conscious couples who want elegance and contemporary.
I was lucky enough to be invited for the venue's open day, and with the place all styled up, it only made sense to turn it into a mini shoot after. Enter Fern, no stranger to bridal modelling, who was our bride for the afternoon. Daniella did both her hair and makeup, with a stylish up do, and glowing makeup. We had a custom Jean Jackson Couture gown, which really fit with the minimal but structured trend for bridal gowns, and let the elaborate styling do the talking. We also had a brand new blue Rue De Seine gown, inspired by fairytales, it has a hint of gothic romance, and a hint of colour for your something blue. I loved all the dramatic light at the venue, and loved creating some editorial and high fashion but also super moody portriats of Fern in these beautiful spaces.
