Eve + Callum
Glencoe is somewhere I've always wanted to travel to, and shoot in, so it only made sense that on my way back down from Skye, I planned my own workshop there. I got in touch with models Eve and Callum, who live just a couple hours south of Glencoe, and they were well up for the vision. Skye was just incredible for the rugged landscapes, whereas Glencoe feels a little more serene and dream like - with beautiful brown tones, mountains, mist and lochs, opposed to the wide open spaces and cliff tops of Skye. I wanted to create something that felt really adventurous and wild, so spent a lot of time location scouting to find the perfect spots to get that cinematic feel.
Charlotte from Wilden London sent a bespoke dress for this, with lace and red toned floral appliques to complement the landscape. It looked incredible on Eve with her hair colour and skin tone, and fit right in. It was an alternative twist on your usual white wedding dress, a perfect option for a wild, non traditional elopement. Sam at Wildfire floral also provided a huge, wild, bouquet, with red and pink roses to match the dress and again, suit that amazing landscape.
I wanted this workshop to focus on storytelling - so had Eve and Callum get ready together at a gorgeous little secluded river bed in Glencoe, then out into the landscape for a mountain top ceremony and wild and raw portraits. Glencoe was just a dream for my style - from the colours to the light, and I loved every second of shooting here, that I already can't wait to plan to come back. It's atmospheric and romantic, and easily accessible for incredible locations once you're there - perfect for an elopement without a tonne of hiking but still getting that remote feel.
