Natalie + Asim
For Natalie + Asim, their day was all about getting their closest family and friends together, at the magical Lake District wedding venue, Hidden River Cabins, and having a hell of a party.
The day started with Natalie and the girls in Roe Deer cabin, with just her sister and her mum, a Stevie Nicks playlist, and the queens of natural bridal glam, Nala and Knot, it was the perfect relaxed atmosphere, with the best view of the river. After a dip in the hot tub, the boys in Hidden River House slipped into their custom Royalty Tailoring suits, made bespoke and lovingly by Asim's brother. Asim looked sharp in his white tux, with the rest of the lads in classic black tie. Natalie got dressed with her sister helping her, into her slinky and chic Ingrid Olic gown, from the Aisle Bridal.
The iconic windows at Hidden River are always the most incredible ceremony backdrop, were made even more beautiful by Wildfire floral, with a soft pink and purple nest of florals, with plenty of foliage, almost bringing the outside in. The seasonal flowers were also in Natalie's bouquet, in Wildfire's signature wild and romantic style. Natalie and Asim's ceremony was emotional and joyous, with tears from many of their family members. It was straight outside after, for a snowfetti exit - the perfect confetti for any winter wedding! Some quick, simple family portraits, some high energy fun shots with both the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and off we went in Vera the vintage Landrover around the site for some romantic couple portraits.
I have a few favourite secret photo spots at Hidden River, and I love that you can make the nature and the landscape look really otherworldy. It's such a peaceful place with so much natural beauty, it's easy to make the place look gorgeous, especially in winter with the darker greens and browns.
Their speeches were by Natalie's dad, Natalie's sister, Asim and his brother - all were emotional and hilarious, and set the tone perfectly for the evening. This was a room full of absolute party people, and the DJ had no problem getting everyone up on the dancefloor. Once the electrict violinist dropped Tell Me Ma, the Irish contingent went nuts and I'm sure it didn't stop all evening.
This was a gorgeous day start to finish, with two people enjoying their day completely present in the moment. A joy to be a part of, at one of my favourite Lake District wedding venues. It was amazing to work alongside Jade from Hushabye Films on this one, who I'd recommend in a heart beat to any couples looking for a slick, non traditional, high energy wedding film.
