Ash + Em

Ash + Em got married at the beautiful converted mill, Holmes Mill, in Lancashire. A gorgeous and unique venue, with an urban and gritty feel, and a space you can really make your own. Ash + Em opted to get ready in separate rooms of the hotel, so they could each have their own prep, but come together before the ceremony for an emotional first look.

They shared a few private moments together before the ceremony to settle their nerves, before being walked down the aisle separately. Em's bridesmaids walked first, then Em accompanied by her dad, then Ash's bridesmaids followed, with Ash being accompanied by her grand dad. I loved that they both got their aisle moment, but it all flowed easily and naturally. Their ceremony was emotional and heartfelt, and the joy is palpable as they exchanged rings and shared a first kiss.

After the confetti moment, we explored Holmes Mill and used their different spaces as backdrops for their portraits, I loved playing with the light and shadow and the opulence of the bar space and grand piano. I loved their dancefloor in the evening, with them both letting loose and enjoying dancing with each other!

I loved being a part of this LGBTQ+ wedding in my home county, and it was a joy to document this beautiful day at one of my favourite North West Wedding venues.
