Kayleigh + Ky
I first met Kayleigh + Ky when they modelled for one of my workshops, they told us very casually how they were getting married in Ibiza, and that they'd started planning, but it was all very relaxed. Less than a year later, I was flying to meet them for their wedding in Ibiza, with the same makeup artists from that shoot day.
Kayleigh + Ky had the ultimate holiday destination wedding, having booked almost the entirety of a hotel for them and their guests, they got ready with their favourite people around them, and it already felt like they'd just been on a big group holiday with all their friends and family. Ky had her sisters and her mum with her, whilst Kayleigh had her best bridesmates. The wonderful Nala and Knot were creating the looks for Kayleigh and her team, whilst Nicola Redman was on makeup, and Ky's sister was on hair for Ky and her family and friends. Everyone looked amazing, and everyone had their own style come through in their looks and outfits. Everyone wore either different dresses, in the same shade of dark sage green, or soft summery cream shirt + shorts sets.
Ky had her mum help her into her super stylish two piece from the Own Studio, which looked perfect on her, and the silk material looked almost liquid in the sun. Kayleigh had her bridesmates help her get dressed into her Catherine Deane two piece, with a soft billowing tulle skirt. Both had emotional first looks with their dads, before making their way to the ceremony venue, Kazamor, in the Ibiza mountains.
There, they had a beautifully personal and emotional spiritual ceremony, led by Leanne from Wildflower Weddings, after which their friends and family enjoyed some drinks and live music, as we head to Es Vedra for some portraits, featuring the incredible backdrop of the cliffs and the sea. Speeches followed, by Ky's dad, Kayleigh's mum, Ky's sisters, Kayleigh's bridesmates and finally, Ky. Showing that speeches don't need to be the traditional formats or speakers to be impactful, each was perfect, telling a different story about each of them and their relationship, all were hilarious, beautiful and meaningful. We snuck out after the speeches to catch some of that soft evening light, and these warm, golden, serene moments are some of my favourite portraits.
Instead of starting the evening celebrations with a cake cut, they instead entrusted Tiny Tattoo Ibiza to do a cutting of the skin instead, and Kayleigh and Ky got live matching tattoos, to kick off the evening party!
The whole day was planned to perfection by Ibiza Wedding Planner, who not only planned everything prior to the wedding, but ran the day like clockwork. It was also lovely to work alongside Vasilis Kantasrakis on video, creating timeless, cinematic masterpieces. The whole day was beautifully unique, non traditional, and spent with the people who meant the most to them.
