Wyresdale Park Wedding Photographer
This week, the lovely team at Lancashire wedding venue, Wyresdale Park, invited me down to the venue to capture a seasonal editorial. Brought together by an incredible team, elevated barn venue Wyresdale Park was transformed into a moody, sumptuous, festive styled space. With lots of dark, wiry foliage, leaning into dark greens and browns, they reimagined their ceremony space into a wintery, slightly festive, forest. It was so lovely to work with my friends Soph + Gabs as the couple for this, I've worked with them a few times prior and it's always amazing to create some real LGBTQ+ representation for the wedding industry.
Wyresdale Park, set in the Scorton countryside, is a sprawling estate complete with forest and boating lake, with a gorgeous barn space for you to get married in. Whilst this wintery day was set mostly inside, you can also get married outside at Wyresdale Park, on a warmer day obviously! Even inside, there's so much potential in this venue for gorgeous imagery, and this editorial shows that with a little bit of vision, just how gorgeous it truly is! An amazing team brought this styling to life, for any couples wanting a darker, moodier, winter/christmas wedding.

Winter weddings are always some of my favourites, I think in winter, whilst there's less daylight hours, you get some of the nicest, softest light. I love winter style too, the moodier feel with the twinkly lights and the darker colours, I always feel my work lends itself perfectly to this time of year, so the opportunity to get creative on a festive but moody styled shoot is exactly my type of day! One of my favourite spaces at Wyresdale is actually the North Wing, typically used as the prep space. The windows are huge and the perfect spot for some moody and atmospheric couple portraits - a moment to step away from the main spaces of the wedding and have a private moment just for the two of you, and really have some space to create some beautiful, quiet imagery. I loved working with Soph + Gabs to create these, for some moody, intimate portraits together.

35mm is so nostalgic, timeless and atmospheric. I love the variety it brings to a gallery and slowing down my photographic process to focus
35mm Film Wedding Photographer - Manchester
Photographing this day on 35mm film felt like a must - for this I did about half and half on film and digital, making use of the natural light for the film, and opting for digital for the darker indoors spaces. I loved Soph's bridal suit by Clement and Church, and Gabs had two different outfits from THTH Bridesmaids, two piece long dress, with a blazer over the top, for that really relaxed, chich look. Followed by a sparkly mini for that after party winter feel!
