Alice + Nav

I have been ridiculously excited to be a part of this day for quite some time. I first met Alice + Nav when Nav got in touch with a plan to propose to Alice. We decided to meet on Formby beach, and I would secretly follow them until Nav got down on one knee, and then we'd create some beautiful images and celebrate their new engagement together - much to both of our surprise, after Nav had proposed, Alice got down on one knee right back, and also proposed to Nav. It was such a beautiful, emotional evening, and I really hoped that when the wedding came around, they'd be back in touch, and surely enough, they were.

They shared their plans of having a more intimate day, in Southport which is somewhere where they spend a lot of time together, and coincidentally has a very beautiful Town Hall. They wanted a relaxed, laid back celebration, and didn't want to follow the usual conventions of a wedding timeline, and have a more paired back day. I met them at Southport Town Hall, and was blown away by their incredible outfits, both sparkling in the sun. We did some very quick initial portraits, before they head in to their ceremony to get officially married. The ceremony room at Southport Town Hall is so unique, the old judges chambers, it has so much room for photographing the ceremony in a creative way and it was amazing to watch them both get legally wed!

We used the gorgeous steps for some more portraits and vanity fair style bridal party shots, before everyone walked over to Southport Market for the reception. Alice, Nav and their bridal party had a huge entrance, with Desi Konnect playing the Dhol Drums as they all danced in, and had all their guests join them on the dancefloor for the highest energy, joy and colour filled celebration! After a little time on the dancefloor, the girls gave everyone meal tickets to choose their own meal in the market, followed by some lovely, sentimental speeches and their cake cut.

The day was completely perfect and everything they wanted - relaxed, laid back, and the glorious sun we ordered came through! I loved being a part of their proposal and their wedding, I couldn't imagine not being there for them after photographing such an incredible milestone in their life, and it's such an honour to start as clients and end as friends. This was a totally unforgettable wedding.
