An adventurous engagement shoot in the peak district, ahead of their October wedding.
Most couples feel nervous about having their photo taken, and these two were no exception - insisting they were terribly awkward and the nightmare clients that it's impossible to get one good photo of. Honestly - I think most couples feel like this, that it'll be an incredibly difficult and intense process, to even get one half decent photo of them together. It's an alien and unfamiliar experience for almost everyone, and promise me, everyone goes into these shoots with a huge amount of nerves.
It's fair to say however that these two aced it, leaning into the process and trusting that it'll work out. We met at surprise corner, a significant spot to them both, as it's where they got engaged. We went for a short walk, and scoped out some of their favourite spots. It was a beautifully misty evening, which really added to the atmosphere for some moody and romantic photos.
I include a pre wedding/ engagement shoot with all my full day packages, I just think they're so vital, and really iron out any photo related nerves. We get a chance to meet, to chat about your wedding plans, and when you get the gallery back and see how amazing you both really look - that's where the magic happens, and gives you the faith and confidence to know that you'll both look incredible on the day, and be comfortable with me buzzing around all day.
