Rise Hall


A sumptuous, Autumn editorial, at Yorkshire wedding venue, Rise Hall. Curated by the incredible Sarah from Stories of Events, this was a beautiful day of creating, playing and shooting impeccably styled wedding inspiration.


With three gorgeous real couples modelling throughout the day, Sarah enlisted some of the best wedding industry talent to transform the venue, and the couples into her flawless artistic vision. All of the brides wore custom Kate Edmondson Bridal couture gowns and two pieces, all of which were emulating Vivienne Westwood with corset tops, drapery and luxurious silks and volume. Paired with the moody autumn florals by Emma Cox Floristry, this was a match made in heaven. Emma's work has always been a favourite of mine, but her work on this editorial is by far her absolute masterpiece - dripping blooms and dark, rich colours, smaller bouquest and huge installations - it was jaw dropping. Daniella hair and makeup worked her magic on all three of the brides, creating flawless, editorial looks which suited each of them perfectly.


I was obsessed with the windows at Rise Hall, the perfect vignettes for some intimate couple portraits - all you need for beautiful mood and atmosphere is some big windows and soft light pouring in, and that gives you everything you need for the setting for some killer portraits. The details of the day were all incredible, from the serpentine dessert table, filled with hand crafted bakes by Orchid Kitchen, they were pieces of art within themselves, finished with elegant and artistic stationery by Lucy Mcspirit design.


Of course the day finished with some flash portraits + champagne tower - how else to finish a day of shooting and creating? A beautiful autumn day spent with some talented industry friends - truly a tonic amidst a busy season.
