Maria + Stuart
In the most glorious sunshine, Maria and Stuart wed in front of the iconic Loch Lomond.
The morning started with Maria and her girls, with Maria getting super glam, with Hollywood waves and Kim K style makeup, to pair with her elegant, detailed Enzoani lace dress. Her bridesmaids all had rust coloured dresses, each in different styles, and all the girls also had rust and toffee toned florals. The boys also had a lengthy getting ready process, between kilts, laces, socks, ties - but all looked super smart in time to walk down the aisle!
Jordana events had put together the most incredible floral arch, pillars and meadows for the ceremony space, which totally transformed the patio. Loch Lomond was suddenly looking almost Lake Como in the blazing sun. Stuart waited for Maria at the end of the aisle, and as she walked down to Lana Del Rey, he walked to meet her half way down. Their ceremony was emotional and personal, led by Tasha the Celebrant, and there were more than a few tears throughout. Of course their two pugs were the ring bearers, and looked very handsome! Maria + Stuart walked back down the aisle together, with bubbles instead of the traditional confetti. Their drinks reception took place on the patio over looking the loch, with the beautiful live music by Capella strings setting the scene.
Of course we used that incredible floral arch for some photos, before taking a short walk around the estate. Both Maria and Stuart, Maria's two Maids of honour, and Stuart's best man, all made sentimental speeches, before an interruption by Cheri Trifle, singing It Should've Been Me, for a truly iconic and hilarious moment to cut through the emotion of the day! After dinner, we went for a wee walk around the quaint town of Luss to catch some golden hour portraits around the Loch. It was lovely to get away for a moment and give Maria + Stuart some romantic moments alone for some gorgeous intimate portraits together.
When we got back, Tartan Entertainment were ready to get the party started, and really hyped up the guests for Maria + Stuart's cake cut and first dance, and the dancefloor went WILD. One thing about Scottish weddings, is the guests are always ready to bring the party! It was lovely to work alongside Knoxland Films on this one, who documented the day on video.
This was a truly beautiful and personal day, from their intimate ceremony, their baby pugs being involved, and moments of humour that really represented their relationship. They did everything their way, and enjoyed every second, and what a day it was to be a part of!
