Vikki + Stacey

Another Hidden River beauty...Vikki + Stacey had a dark and interesting winter wedding at Hidden River, with all of their friends and family present. Hidden River in Carlisle is one of my favourite wedding venues, with the barn aesthetic, beautiful light, crittal windows and the most incredible secluded setting, plus the house and cabins for everyone to stay - to me it's just perfect. Vikki and Stacey both got ready in Hidden River house, each in a separate wing, complete with Dolly their sausage dog, who had the house to herself whilst they got married. Nala and Knot were the hair and makeup team for the girls and their wedding party, and as ever, did an incredible job of not only glamming the girls, but keeping the morning running to time, and creating an amazing energy. Vikki and Stacey both did emotional first looks with their closes family, which made for some beautiful, natural images. Emma Cox, one of my favourite florists, created bouquets for both of the brides, as well as a wintery arrangement in front of the ceremony windows, and bowls for the tables, all created with the dark and interesting theme in mind.

Vikkie and Stacey both walked down the aisle separately, and had one of their friends read a few very personal and emotion words, as well as their son William writing and reciting a poem. After the ceremony it was confetti, group shots, and portraits down by the river, which both in their amazing gowns was a real feat! However so worth it for those dramatic shots with the river in the background. Speeches were by Vikki's dad, Stacey's brother and sister, and then by both of the brides. They rounded off the day with a fun choreographed first dance, which suited them both perfectly! For them the day was a celebration of their love, joyous, and filled with tears and laughter. It was so personal, and their friends and family were all so present and in the moment throughout the day, which really comes through in the images. It was an absolute joy and honour to photograph this day, and this is a very favourite preview gallery.
