Jay + Sam


In a very hetero-normative industry, it's always been important to me to break down boundaries and inspire couples who want more than the traditional wedding format. My good friends Jay and Sam over the years have been the perfect models to help me with that - both with long flowing hair, and androgynous styles, mixing the masculine with the feminine. At their own wedding, they both had bouquets, their hair down, and would've been tempted to wear dresses/skirts/heels if they felt like they could've comfortably done so. This editorial was inspired by the both of them, by my community who want more than labels and stereotypes, and the poets, like Sylvia Plath, who's home town we used for this shoot.
