Liv and Dan
After their original destination wedding plans were scuppered by Covid, Liv and Dan found their dream venue in Hidden River. They drastically changed their vision, from a summer wedding in the south of France, to a winter wedding planned in under 6 months at their new venue, Lake District based Hidden River, with a scaled back guest list to just their very closest friends and family - they had a full wedding weekend, with many of the guests staying at the log cabins on site, complete with panoramic scenec views and hot tubs... A lot of the wedding elements were DIY, and so much love had gone into the planning and details of this wedding. Hidden River is the most beautiful backdrop, with stunning Crittal windows that let in the most wonderful light (really a photographers playground). They chose to style this with long feasting tables, mauves, beiges and mainly dried florals, which looked glorious, and really leaned into the rustic element of the venue, but bringing a little bit of stylish, editorial contemporary element. Since changing their wedding plans, finding their forever home, and finally planning their new dream wedding, Liv and Dan decided they didn't want to wait to start their family, and Liv actually revealed to their families that she was pregnant! So a joint celebration of a wedding, and a new start. Family was a huge element to them both, which is really reflected in the images, and the guest list - with many of the guests being family children. This is one of my favourite ever dad reveal moments - Liv's dad's reaction was just priceless. You can see how important good light is in these images too - and how beautifully lit the ceremony images are, in that absolutely stunning setting. Hidden River will forever be a favourite venue of mine, from the team, to the setting and interiors... but mainly that magical light.
