Mary and George

After having to postpone for two years thanks to Covid... in 2022 Mary and George finally flew out to Palma for their destination wedding. Finca Villa was the setting for this beautiful day - and thanks to the Spanish sun, they had their entire wedding outdoors. The Alicante coast is a special place to both of them - a place where George's family have holidayed for years, which then became significant to them as a couple, so it made perfect sense to wait to have their intimate day abroad. With just 50 of their closest family and friends, and all the family children, it was a day centred around their nearest and dearest. They got ready in the same apartment, on different floors, which gave them both privacy from each other, but meant everyone could help to look after the children - a group effort! Their celebrant led ceremony was held outside, under the shaded canopy of the trees, and was personal and emotional to them both. The weather held all day, which meant their meal and reception was held at the back of the venue, with a stunning view of the hills and mountains overlooking Marbella. For entertainment, they had a violinist all day, who changed from classical in the day time, to house in the evening - it was incredible, and again all outdoors, which meant perfect lighting for some of my favourite ever dancing shots! The light all day was beautiful, and I really got to the opportunity to get creative with light and shadow, especially during prep. The shots of Mary getting into her dress are some of my all time favourites. Some real dreamy, balmy, destination wedding inspiration here.
