Chloe + Oli
Chloe and Oli wed on the last of the summer weekends, at one of my favourite Lake District wedding venues, Eden Barn. Set in the mountains on the edge of Cumbria, Eden Barn is a perfectly elevated barn, still with that rustic charm, it's got the style and edge of a modern wedding venue, but with original architecture and twinkly fairy lights, as well being right in the countryside.
The day started with groom prep with Oli and the lads, at Brockram barn just across the road, with Chloe and the girls getting ready at the bridal suite at Eden Barn. The girls all had sleek, modern hair, with Chloe's in an intricate bridal bun, with pretty pink toned dresses and makeup. Chloe's dress was one of a kind - a lace embellished gown by Tara Lauren, with long custom sleeves added by her seamstress - which looked so elegant, and perfect for their stylish wedding.
A short spell of that classic Lake District rainy wedding prevented the ceremony from being held outside, but the barn was the perfect backdrop for their family and friends to watch them tie the knot. The rain didn't last for long though, and we got to head outside for group photos during their drinks reception, and the most incredible golden hour after their meal, in the meadow. Chloe + Oli really made the most of their photos and portrait time, and took in every moment without wanting to rush through, meaning we could really create some beautiful and meaningful portraits together.
Chloe's lace sleeves came off for the first dance and evening celebrations, giving a second look to the dress, and the party really started! This wedding was the best end to my summer season - with the couple both taking in every moment and truly enjoying it.
