The Giraffe Shed Wedding Editorial
A Wildly Beautiful Day at The Giraffe Shed: Untold Moments in Full Color
Tucked away in the rolling Welsh countryside, The Giraffe Shed isn’t just a wedding venue — it’s a vibe. Bold, raw, and unapologetically cool, this hidden gem is where industrial grit meets wild heart. The Giraffe Shed, nestled in the Welsh countryside, is not your traditional wedding venue — and that’s the point. Raw corrugated iron, dark industrial walls, wide skies, and wild fields. It’s a space with edge, but somehow still intimate. Light moves beautifully through it, and with Han and Neilo as the perfect and most accomodating hosts, it's truly a space you can make your own. Usually styled with bold colour and something more alternative, I wanted to bring some classic elegance to the shed, and marry the industrial vibe of the building with an elegant and editorial styled shoot.
The Styling
Everything was stripped back — intentionally.
Earthy tones, undone florals, and tactile details.
Linen. Rust. Soft cottons. Smoked glass and flickering taper candles.
The ceremony backdrop was minimal: a simple arch, raw space, and that incredible light.
Florals by the talented team at Mary Mary Florals added warmth — deep reds, soft blush, and dried elements. Sarah at Stories of Events created the showstopping draping which acted as the ceremony area, as well as the dramatically draped tables, with paired back crockery and cutlery, and fine art stationery by Rumeet at The Lovely Little Details. I wanted everything to be moody and luxurious, stylish and chic and that's exactly what we got.
Our two couples, Abi and Mike and Beck and Amanda, and our editorial bride Fern, all wore either custom Jean Jackson Couture pieces, or brand new Rue De Seine and Saint Bridal gowns. I wanted all the models to look high fashion and editorial, without being too traditional. Daniella our hair and makeup artist complemented this with modern but glowing makeup and soft, flowing hair looks for the girls. Jo from the Orchid Kitchen created the iconic cake display, with cherry red draping by Sarah, which was definitely such a statement piece - modern but artistic, and one of my favourite vignettes of the whole shoot!
I love working at The Giraffe Shed, it's one of the most unique wedding venues in the UK and it was really lovely to bring my own vision to life in the space.
