Lucinda + Jen

I've been really excited for this wedding for a really long time - Jen + Lucy were the first couple to find and book me off the amazing Rebel Love Directory, and as a lesbian, it's always amazing to work with other lesbian couples.

Wyresdale Park is a gorgeous wedding venue in Lancashire, and recently refurbished, it's looking more amazing than ever. It has an entirely renovated bar area, new outdoor ceremony area, and refurbed dance floor and evening barn. It's a venue comprised of multiple bright, white elegant barns, that act as a gorgeous blank canvas for you to style and add your personality. Lucy + Jen chose to do that with a burst of bright colours - pink and orange florals, giving a really spring time, retro vibe.

The girls chose to get ready together, in the beautiful North wing of the Wyresdale House. I love this getting ready space, the bedrooms are beautiful, and there's so many big windows giving a really dramatic lighting situation. They had their bridespeople with them, and stayed together until they separated to get dressed, wanting to see each other ready for the first time at the end of the aisle.

Lucy + Jen walked down the aisle separately, and after seeing each other, had an emotional ceremony, highlighted by their dog Val, as their ringbearer. They head outside into the glorious weather for confetti + drinks, and we snuck off for some photos. I wanted to go straight back into the house, out of the sun, to get some really moody, atmospheric and romantic portraits, and this scenario gave exactly that. A quiet moment away from it all for some really dark and moody romance. We also walked down to the boat house, to get some panoramic views of the incredible lake at Wyresdale Park. After some portraits and drinks, Jen's dad, Lucy's mum and dad, the best man and Jen all gave some beautiful speeches, each with a different tone and vibe and all creating a beautiful atmosphere for some partying! They cut their showstopping cake, and danced the night away with some live singers and sax, and I'm sure this party didn't stop all night.

Loved being a part of this one, and at one of my favourite north west wedding venues, for a beautiful couple who were a pleasure to work with!
