Forcett Hall, North Yorkshire Wedding Venue


Forcett Hall in North Yorkshire is the newest luxury wedding venue. I had the opportunity to visit this week before this gorgeous Yorkshire wedding venue opens it's doors, and photograph a considered editorial photo shoot, before any couples have even married there yet.


Forcett Hall is an incredible estate set in North Yorkshire, with sprawling grounds, an impressive fountain, a dramatic staircase out the back of the house, and a beautifully curated interior. From huge bedrooms, a modern bridal suite, a gorgeous ceremony and bar space, all with the most incredible light. Forcett Hall is going to be everyone's new favourite wedding venue, and will be the perfect backdrop for couples looking for something refined and elevated, but still modern and beautifully finished.

Editorial Weddings at Forcett Hall


This shoot was put together by the amazing Sarah at Stories of Events, who curated and brought together an incredible team to bring this venue to life. Sarah dreamed up a stylish and luxury concept, with white and blue florals, a pretty and soft editorial with bow details and springtime blooms. An understated and luxurious editorial with fine art details and high end suppliers. Emma Cox Floristry, who just like Sarah is both incredibly talented and one of my good friends, created a show stopping, dramatic set of floral installations, with flowers cascading out the back of the house, and adorning the blue tables inside the venue. Table Alchemy and Lucy McSpirit design came together to finish the tables, with intricate linens and napkins, and carefully designed luxurious stationery. Poppy Pickering's cake table was also a highlight, with a set of soft and pretty cakes, with bows and florals in the colour scheme. A firm favourite of mine, Daniella Makeup and Hair created the two looks on Katie, from soft waves with the mantilla lace veil from Jean Jackson Couture, to a sleek up do, both with natural, glowing makeup. Katie's dresses were both by Monreal Bridal, a gorgeous form fitting lace number, and a swooshy satin gown with a neck scarf - both were beautiful and a delight to photograph!

Fine Art Wedding Photography at Forcett Hall


Forcett will truly be a special venue when it's finished, and although we were limited with how much of the venue we could use for this editorial, it's going to be a show stopper when it's lovingly restored to it's former glory, and modernised - perfect for some Yorkshire weddings. I loved seeing how the team brought the space to life, with Sarah's vision, and can't wait to see how future couples bring their personality and style to it too. I wanted to bring some Fine art style portraits to this shoot, and make sure I got my usually romantic and atmospheric style photography in there. I loved photographing Katie and Karl, and working together to curate some really intimate moments, whilst showing off the styling and the venue - a mixture of editorial work, and real, natural, candid moments, all wrapped up in a moody yet elevated presentation.
